Dresden is released today in both CD and digital versions.
Dresden dates back to 2010 and originally emerged during the History Of Modern sessions. However, the song lacked lyrics at the time so wasn’t considered for the final tracklisting for that album.
Described by Andy McCluskey as “very OMD”, Dresden is the follow-up single to Metroland. Andy also commented on the song as being “radio friendly”.

it’s the design aspect of 
OMD’s new album release ENGLISH ELECTRIC is released today – an album that sees the band returning to a more experimental style of music writing while also embracing a much more electronic template to produce a record that is already picking up positive critical reviews and is being viewed as yet another successful step forward for OMD. 
in 2010, which effectively marked OMD’s revival with the classic line-up, could have been viewed as setting up the template for OMD’s sound in the 21st Century.
